The Army offers scholarships available for all four-year undergraduate and two-year graduate degree programs offered at Florida Tech in Melbourne , FL.  Eastern Florida State College students/prospective students are eligible for all Army ROTC classes at Florida Tech as well.

Whether you're a college-bound high school student or already attending a college or university, Army ROTC has scholarships available. Scholarships are awarded based on a student's merit and grades, not financial need. We have a number of scholarship opportunities to help pay your way through school:

4-Year Scholarship Program

The 4-year scholarship is intended for those college and high school students who have four years of undergraduate education remaining before graduation.

The scholarship covers full tuition, provides $1200/yr for books, and $300-$500/ month of the school year in spending money, depending on the academic year of the student. Florida Tech provides Free Room and Board for ROTC scholarship students.

These scholarships are highly competitive and applicants who are accepted generally have cumulative GPA's greater than 3.0 and are involved in multiple extra-curricular activities both in school and outside of school. A physically fit and academically well-rounded high school student will excel in this program.

3-Year Scholarship Program

The 3-year scholarship is designed identical to the 4-year scholarship but begins in the sophomore year of education. It is designed for current college students with 3 years remaining in their undergraduate studies as well as high school seniors .

The scholarship covers full tuition, provides $1200/yr for books, and $300-$500/ month of the school year in spending money, depending on the academic year of the student. Florida Tech provides Free Room and Board for ROTC scholarship students. High School Student, 3-year scholarship winners will have benefits activated at the beginning of their sophomore year and are eligible to compete for a 4-year scholarship once on campus.

 


2-Year Scholarship Program

The 2-year scholarship is intended for those students who have two years of undergraduate or graduate education remaining before graduation. Also, students applying for the two-year scholarship must have either completed the Basic Course (MS I & MS II courses), advance camp, or they must have prior military experience.

The scholarship covers full tuition and provides $1200/yr for books and a minimum of $450-500/ month of the school year in spending money, depending on the academic year of the student. Florida Tech provides Free Room and Board for ROTC scholarship students.

 


1.5 Year Scholarship Program

(3-Semester Option)

The 1.5 year scholarship is intented for those students who have 3 semesters of undergraduate or graduate education remaining. Students enrolled in this program must currently have a 3.0 GPA, be physically fit and able to pass the Army Physical Fitness event immediately.

 


Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty Scholarship

The Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty Scholarship program (also known as GRFD) is designed for students/cadets with maximum 2 years remaining on their undergraduate or graduate degree and are interested in obtaining a commission in the United States Army National Guard or Reserves (also known as the ARNG or USAR), they receive a guaranteed unit assignment and job specialty (Army Branch) in either ARNG or USAR .

The scholarship covers full tuition and provides $1200/yr for books and a minimum of $450-500/ month of the school year in spending money, depending on the academic year of the student. Florida Tech provides Free Room and Board for ROTC scholarship students.

Interested students are willing to enlist in the ARNG or USAR as a cadet until graduation and commissioning. If the interested student is currently enlisted in the ARNG or USAR, we will work with your current command to have you converted to a cadet. Recipients of this scholarship must also agree to serve in the Army National Guard or Army Reserve after commissioning for a period of not less than eight years. All branch training will be done on Temporary Active Duty Status. Montgomery G.I. Bill and MGIB KICKER benefits may be used in addition to GRFD Scholarship benefits, ask for more details.

 


DEDICATED NATIONAL GUARD Scholarship

The Dedicated Guard Scholarship program is designed for students/cadets with maximum 3 years remaining on their undergraduate or graduate degree and are interested in obtaining a commission in the United States Army National Guard (also known as the ARNG) by allowing them to receive an early guarantee for such an assignment .

The scholarship covers full tuition and provides $1200/yr for books and a minimum of $450-500/ month of the school year in spending money, depending on the academic year of the student. Florida Tech provides Free Room and Board for ROTC scholarship students. Montgomery G.I. Bill and MGIB KICKER benefits may be used in addition to Scholarship benefits, ask for more details.
