Data Collection Locations

Our I/O program has a strong relationship with the undergraduate program here at Florida Tech. Undergrad psychology students take part in regularly scheduled research days. In addition they receive extra credit for participating in research. We have also developed research relationships with local community colleges to increase our data collection capabilities. This sample has the additional benefit of being more generalizable to work related research, as these students typically are employed. Student samples are often used to conduct research, but they are not the only source of data.

Florida Tech students have collected data from organizations all over the world. Our students have solicited local, national, and international companies for employee, applicant, and other organizational data. In addition, we have developed a strong network of organizations that participate in our research efforts.

As with all research, the data source should always be appropriate for the design and goals of the study.
