Our industrial organizational psychology alumni helped build the foundation of a nationally recognized I/O program. As students they were dedicated to many continuous improvement efforts in the I/O program, on top of a rigorous course of study. Hard work and a sense of community don't stop when you walk across the stage to collect your graduate degree. Dr. Amanda Evans

Dr. Amanda Evans

Consultant

Amanda Evans graduated from the Florida Tech Doctorate program in 2005 and is currently a Consultant for CraftSystems, Inc. in Bradenton, Florida. CraftSystems is a 28-year industry leader in HR consulting with an emphasis in talent assessments. With over 1 million of CraftSystems’ assessments administered, Amanda is a member of the research team who provides data-driven customized solutions for an array of companies. Assessment solutions include personality, biodata, cognitive ability, and staff culture. Because many of CraftSystems’ assessments are used for hiring peak performers, Amanda spends the majority of her time conducting criterion validation studies and adverse impact analyses. Amanda holds the PHR designation from the Human Resources Certification Institute.

In 2007, Amanda will be presenting papers at the Association of Test Publishers (ATP), International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMAAC), and American Psychological Association (APA). In addition to ATP and APA, Amanda is also a member of SIOP, SHRM, and the Academy of Management. Amanda currently resides in Tampa, Florida.

Manager of Talent Development & Organizational Effectiveness, Bell Helicopter

Lynn Chmielowski, a 1999 graduate of the M.S. Industrial Psychology Program at Florida Tech, is currently working at Bell Helicopter, Textron.  Bell is a company that manufactures both commercial and military aircrafts and provides customer support & services.  Lynn has been with Bell since she graduated and is currently the Manager of Talent Development & Organizational Effectiveness.  Her experience and projects have varied and include succession planning, career & leadership development and change management (to name just a few—every day is different and provides challenges which keeps it interesting).  Lynn is also a certified Black Black from the Six Sigma Academy. She enjoys her job as it has provided a lot of growth opportunity and exposure to various human resources and business areas.  

Lynn is also married to Tom Chmielowski, a Florida Tech, M.S. I/O grad and they recently had their first son, Peyton Chmielowski (5/15/05).  They reside in Fort Worth, Texas.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and three dogs (2 of which are stray—another weekend hobby). Other interests of Lynn's includes staying close to politics, home improvements and exercising.
