How to Map to Department Shared Drive:

NOTE: Accessing the Shared Drive in this manner is not guaranteed from off campus because ISPs do block this method. A more reliable method is to use SFTP

 Windows 7

  1. Click on Computer from the desktop or by going to Start icon and then selecting Computer
  2. Select "Map Network Drive…"
  3. In the Map Network Drive window, select the drive letter (Z) from the dropdown list adjacent to Drive
  4. Type the name of the location of the folder to be mapped (starting with 2 backlashes)   docs.fit.edu (backlash) humanities
  5. Check the checkbox for "Connect using different credentials"
  6. Click Finish button in the Map Network Drive window
  7. When a dialog box appears, enter your TRACKS username and your TRACKS account password in the password field.
  8. You can now see the mapped network drive on the Computer window

Windows Vista

  1. Click on Computer from the desktop or by going to Start and then selecting Computer
  2. In the Explorer window, locate and click on the button "Map Network Drive" (usually appears in the Menu bar)
  3. Pick the desired letter (Z) for the remote drive and type (starting with 2 backlashes):   docs.fit.edu (backlash) humanities
  4. Click on the link that says Connect using a different user name.
  5. When a dialog box appears, enter your TRACKS username and then your TRACKS account password in the password field.
  6. Click on OK.
  7. Click Finish.

Mac OS X

  1. From the finder, select the go menu.
  2. Select "Connect to Server."
  3. Type smb://docs.fit.edu/humanities
  4. Enter FLTECH for the domain name, your TRACKS username as the user, and your password when prompted.
  5. The home directory will now be available on your desktop and the finder

How to Enter Mid Term Grades:

1) Log into PAWS with your TRACKS username and password.

2) Select "Faculty Services."

3) Select "Midterm Grades."

4) Select "Spring or Fall 20__" for the term and click the "Submit" button.

5) Select COURSE with your corresponding CRN.

6) Select midterm grade in GRADE column and then submit.  The followng message will appear, "The changes you made were submitted sucessfully."  A green checkmark will be displayed.

7) Repeat the above steps for each course you are teaching.
