Last week was pretty intense however; I did learn another helpful tip for a successful semester. My advice is to set up study groups or a study session in preparation for upcoming tests or quizzes. My classmates and I got together on Monday to study for a quiz in our “Experimental Evaluation of Interventions” course. A great way to make sure your study session is productive is to create an agenda or follow a format so that you can stay focused and discuss important topics. The study session was beneficial for me because I was able to catch important details that I missed while I was studying. Have a great week!

Good Morning!! An IMPORTANT piece of advice to remember if you are considering grad school is that TIME MANAGEMENT is the key to a successful semester. We have about 6 more weeks left in the semester and time management is going to be crucial in order for me to do well in my classes. Starting next week, I have a test or quiz each week and I have three final projects that are all due sometime next month. This weekend I plan on creating a schedule that outlines my free time so that I can manage it wisely and allow myself a sufficient amount of time to study and work on my final projects. As I go through the next couple of weeks I will try to give more advice and share how I am managing my time in grad school. Enjoy the rest of your week and Have a Safe and Happy Halloween!

Good Morning! These past two weeks have been extremely busy. Since my last blog, I was able to return home to Maryland for five days and I’ve been studying, studying, and studying! This week I plan on getting lots of reading done and I hope to get started on my Lit Review that’s due in a couple of weeks. I will give you an update in a couple of days and pics from our FABA Conference in Daytona will be up soon. Stay tuned……

Hi guys! Today is my last day in Daytona. The Conference is going very well and the Workshops that I have been to are awesome! It was great to see some of our own students at FIT present at the workshops. All of their hard work definitely paid off. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to enjoy the beach and the nice weather but overall the experience has been great. I have lots of fun pictures to put up for you next week. I can’t wait. I have to prepare for a test over the weekend but I will check back in early next week. Have a great Weekend!

Good Morning! I am getting an early start on my day because I have lots to do today. Tomorrow, I leave for Daytona to attend the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis Conference. I am very excited about attending the conference and of course going to Daytona. Today, I have a test on single case designs so I am hoping that all my reading and studying from the weekend pays off. I must admit that I was a little distracted from my readings when I found a Gecko in my kitchen on Saturday. It is definitely taking me some time to get used to these little critters. I hope to have some pictures up from the Conference and I will let everyone know how the conference went when I get back on Friday. Have a Great Week!

This past week I had to write a research proposal, study for a test, and catch up on some readings for my classes. I was definitely excited for the weekend to arrive. On Saturday, my classmates and I got together to play Taboo. I had sooo much fun and I think I was a little too excited when I saw the words “Sigmund Freud” and “Psychologist” in my deck of cards. I am looking forward to the next couple of weeks! I will be attending FABA and our fall break is coming up. I am so excited to go home to Maryland and spend some time with family and friends.

So far it has been 5 weeks since the semester has started and I must admit I’m a little sleep deprived; however my time here has been great. Here are some pics of me and my classmates. They are all amazing and have definitely helped to make the transition into grad school much easier. Til next time….. Have a Great Week!
