The Psy.D. program trains students to become practicing clinical psychologists with core competencies in relational/clinical skills, comprehensive psychological assessment, clinical treatment interventions, research and evaluation, consultation and education, management and supervision, and diversity issues.

Student News

  • Sheila Lapomarede received a Southeastern Psychological Association research award, granted by SEPA’s Committee for Research on Minorities or Women, for her study, “Ethnic Group Differences in Client Demoralization as Measured by the MMPI-2.” Three other students also presented posters/papers at SEPA.
  • Two first-year students received scholarships to attend conferences related to their doctoral research topics.
  • Several students presented research papers at the Society for Personality Assessment Conference in San Diego, CA, March 2006.
