The Master
of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis requires the satisfactory
completion of 48 credit hours of approved course work in the Clinical Behavior Analysis track. The Master of Science in Organizational
Behavior Management requires the completion of 42 credit hours of approved work.
Students also can choose to complete a combined ABA and OBM degree by taking one to three additional credits per term and extending their residency for one summer term.
All programs include the same core set of courses and the passing of a comprehensive examination
administered during the semester of graduation.
This course of studies meets all the instructional requirements for qualifying
to take the Behavior Analyst Certification Board's examination at the "Behavior
Analyst" level (BCBA) and the Florida Certification exam in Behavior Analysis
at the CBA level, with "expanded privileges".
Specialized Degrees
Both degrees provide a solid foundation
in behavior analysis but allow further specialization. The entire program benefits from small class sizes, presenting students the opportunity
for close supervision and mentorship from faculty members. Students will
be accepted into the ABA program and may wait to elect a specialization until after they
begin the program. However, choosing prior to the first day of classes
may eliminate taking classes that would not be required for a particular specializations. Each
of the two specializations may be completed within four semesters and the intervening
summer. Students may complete a combined degree by extending their residence
in the program by one additional summer and one semester and taking additional
credits.
